The Mi Mix 2 takes the new minimal bezel concept to a whole new level. There are no bezels on three sides of the screen giving the smartphone a futuristic look.
After a series of offers on Xiaomi smartphones such as Redmi Note 4 and Mi Mix 2 on Flipkart.com and Amazon.in, the Chinese phonemaker is going solo with a two-day Mi Fan sale (20-21 December), offering discounts across all products on Mi.com.
Xiaomi has released a red-coloured special edition of Mi A1, which will be available during the sales for the first time. Xiaomi is also giving away discount coupons of up to Rs500 on accessories and will be holding a Re1 flash sale at 2pm on Wednesday. Here are the top options you can consider.
Mi Mix 2
Rs32,999 (earlier Rs35,999)
The Mi Mix 2 takes the new minimal bezel concept to a whole new level. There are no bezels on three sides of the screen giving the smartphone a futuristic look. The 6-inch screen looks more immersive with the 18:9 aspect ratio but has a resolution of just 2,160×1,080p. It has a ceramic finish on the back, which makes it a bit hefty (184g) in comparison to OnePlus 5t’s (162g). The smartphone runs Android 7.1 with MIUI 9 and is powered by Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor with 6 GB RAM, packs in 3,400mAh battery and offers 128GB internal storage.
Rs12,999 (earlier Rs14,999)
The Mi A1 is not a typical Xiaomi smartphone. It doesn’t run on MIUI, which is more popular with Xiaomi fans. It is a part of Google’s Android One program which means it has a pure Android interface, like Pixel smartphones, and will get all Google updates for two years. It is also one of the best looking smartphones in the budget segment and runs on Qualcomm’s very capable Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and offers dual camera with 2x optical zoom.
Mi Max 2
Rs12,499 (earlier Rs14,999)
Xiaomi’s MI Max 2 offers a massive 6.4-inch screen and a long lasting 5,300mAh battery, yet it is just 7.6mm thick. However, due to wide bezels, it doesn’t feel as compact as the Mi Mix 2. if you have big hands and your budget is limited, this is the best big-screen option for reading, gaming and working. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM and offers 64GB storage with the option to add more via microSD.
Mi Power Bank 2i
Rs1,499 (earlier Rs1,999)
If you are looking for a portable power bank to charge your smartphone, the Mi Power Bank with its massive 20,000mAh battery is a good option. With the ongoing discount, it is the most affordable high-capacity power bank you can get. Made at Xiaomi’s Noida factory, the power bank supports quick charging and can charge two devices simultaneously with an output of 5.1V/ 3.6A to both smartphones. It’s compact in size, has a solid polycarbonate ABS plastic exterior and weighs 358g.
